Dare to Live's History

Between Worlds
URL: http://www.geocities.com/skatergirl_ss
Opening Day: I think it was summer of 2004
Shut down: August 2006

My first website was a doll site on geocities. I named it after a delphiforum I was managing at the time. It turned out to be a great name because that's exactly where I was at that point in my life. The site was very small, but I actually got quite a few hits. I learned a lot from managing that site, and I'm very proud of it when I look back. After a year or so of dealing with guestbook flooding, annoying popups, and the small space, I had finally come to a conclusion: my site had become a big fish in a small pond.

Beyond Dreams
URL: http://beyondreams.org
Opening Day: July 14th, 2007
Shut Down: January 2008

Beyond Dreams was the site I hosted back during my very short appearance on iconator with the girls from save-your-breath. Though I loved the site, I decided to host a more personal webspace.

Dare To Live is my newest and final domain. I took great care in choosing the name because I didn't want to be stuck with yet another meaningless domain name. Dare To Live was my final choice because I think it accurately reflects what I believe in, which is living life to the fullest without fear of taking risks. Due to a tangle with netfirms, I wound up going to another host, and to avoid having to battle for my old url, I chose .com, which was my first choice in the beginning but for some reason netfirms couldn't process it. I do not miss them.
